GLOW! System: Optimise
What is Botox?
Botox reduces the signs of ageing by relaxing the muscles of the face which cause wrinkles, providing a more youthful and smooth appearance.
Is it safe?
Used for over 20 years, it is a safe, effective treatment, with minimal side effects. Some clients may experience redness to the injection site, minor bruising, or headache. Ptosis (eyelid or eyebrow droop) is a rare side effect. All side effects will be discussed fully during your consultation.
Which areas are treated?
Dr Wooltorton will assess your skin and facial anatomy and tailor a treatment plan to suit you.
Usual areas include:
- Glabella (between eye brows)
- Forehead
- Crows feet (smile lines)
- Plus other areas
Charlotte also provides botox treatment for
- Migraines,

How long does it last? When will I notice a difference?
- The treatment takes approximately 2-14 days to take effect.
- The affects of treatment are likely to last up to 4 months. With repeated treatments the results are likely to last for longer.

Injecting usually lasts only a few minutes. Following injection, Charlotte will invite you back for a 2 week review. At this review stage, a top up can be administered if required.
Aftercare
- Do not lie down, rub or massage the area for 4 hours after treatment.
- Avoid exercise and alcohol for 6 hours after treatment.
- Avoid having a facial and long haul flights 24hrs after treatment.
